I am a self-taught home chef with an immense passion to share my food with you, your friends, and your families. I was born in Venezuela to East indian and Chinese parents. Patiently observing my mother and aunts cook in our kitchen with fascination. Though a professional by day, my true passion is spending my weekends finding fresh seasonal ingredients, wearing my favorite apron and putting the knife to the board.
Outside of spending days as my mom's Sous chef. I am inspired by my ethnic roots and vast travel. Having lived in the Caribbean I was allowed the opportunity to experience and relish in all its robust flavors. My inspiration draws from local restaurants, farmers market finds, and my favorite chefs. I have been privileged and grateful enough to have a mom who, instead of an alarm clock, woke us up with 5 to 6 dishes every Saturday and Sunday morning. My favorite memories are those meals; served family style with smiles on our faces and a full heart and tummy.
I describe my food as "refined rustic." made mostly from scratch; bone broths to handmade pastas, homemade sausages,slow cooked stews ,and soups. Food is love, and I hope you enjoy this journey with me as I maneuver my way to YOUR happy heart and happy tummy. Cooking is my passion and truly gives me no greater pleasure.
