This Minneapolis comedy club combines traditional comedy revues like "Minnesota: It's Not Just for Lutherans Anymore" with new ideas and energy. Improv, satirical skits, and songs are typical of the slate of offerings. BNW spawned the careers of folks like Al Franken and Penn & Teller. Plenty of audience interaction is a trademark but without the confrontational style found in New York and Chicago comedy companies.

When this venue opened in 1974, it received mixed reviews in regard to its architecture. More importantly for audiences, acoustics are nearly perfect, and there's not a bad seat in the house. Sight lines are good except for the back of the third-tier balcony. Not only is Orchestra Hall home to the Minnesota Orchestra, but the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra also plays here occasionally.

We present everything from Hollywood's biggest blockbusters to niche art films, all in a classic auditorium featuring new high-backed rocker seats and digital sound. Even though we feature state-of-the-art projection and sound systems, our customers enjoy the opportunity to "step back in time" and experience movie-going as it was in the 50s, when neighborhood theaters were in abundance. Some of our customers walk to the theater and enjoy arriving early in order to relax in the spacious lobby on the mod couches and chairs.
